With SMB: Monday Night Mix existing, it's given me the idea of an alternate universe where the Mario series stars Bonnie and her friends instead.

In Paper Mario: Color Splash, one particular sprite of the red Slurp Guy is extremely bizarre as it is saved as a graphic that is over 2500 pixels tall, consists of mostly empty space, and has the words "*mask_path" in the upper right corner. No other sprite in the game has unused empty space of this kind. Details in image.

a thing i like and want to keep about the paper mario colour splash chapters is that the world themselves are non linear.

for example i like that in world one some levels take place in the yellow and blue words despite the objective being the red big paint star. i think it makes the chapter feel more connected
